According to the official delivery, the state government marked the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Vedanta bunch firm Hindustan Zinc Limited (HZL) on the night of October 14, 2020.

HZL will contribute upto Rs. 10,000 crores for setting up 300-kilo tons per annum (ktpa) greenfield zinc smelter in the mechanical district of South Gujarat.
